Our Favorite Famous TV Dogs

Many of us would admit that the dogs in TVs and movies are often our favorite characters. Their appearances melt our hearts, and their daring acts make us cheer and hope for their success. Many of these dogs inspired us to get our first pups or made us fall in love with a certain breed that we’ve owned ever since.

At Jazz’s Wonderland, we are obsessed with dog-centric TV and movies. Below are just a few of our favorites (both real and animated) from over the years:

Comet from Full House

Comet from Full House instilled the American love of Golden Retrievers with his beautiful coat and carefree personality for many of us. Few fans know that the dog actor that played Comet is the same dog that played Buddy in Air Bud.

Eddie from Frazier

Eddie was the beloved Jack Russell terrier from Frazier and one of the most beloved dogs of the 90s. His questioning stare and intelligence helped Jack Russels become a highly popular breed for American families.

Mr. Peanutbutter from Bojack Horseman

Though not a real dog, Mr. Peanutbutter makes our list due to his comical dog-like traits and spot-on Labrador personality. Though he causes a lot of trouble in the show, fans know deep down he means well.

Sneakers from Wilfred

While Sneakers only appeared in one episode of the Netflix hit ‘Wilfred,” the love Ryan had for his first childhood dog was felt by us all. While not the only dog in the show, Sneakers’ appearance was one of the most heartfelt moments of the show.

Bruiser from Legally Blonde

Bruiser is Elle Woods’ chihuahua companion that supports her as she goes to law school. Fitting snugly in her purse, Bruiser is integral to Woods’ character. He also has some of the cutest outfits of any dog movie star!

Dug from Up

Dug from Up is the second cartoon dog on our list and has the ability most of us wish our dogs had – to talk! His love of squirrels and loyalty to his friends is one of the most touching parts of the Pixar movie.
